Southern Railway has announced a notification for the recruitment of Sports Quota vacancies in Southern Railway for the year 2018-19. Eligible Indian Nationals may apply in prescribed application format on or before the 14.01.2019. Eligibility Criteria
Interested Job Aspirants who are ready to apply for Southern Railway 2018 Notification must possess the below-given Eligibility Details.
Educational Qualifications
Interested candidates those want to apply for Southern Railway Sports Quota posts should have completed 12th Pass / Graduation from Recognized Board/University. For Detailed Eligibility please go through Official Notification.
The minimum qualification required for under Sports Quota:
1.Level 2 & 3 minimum qualification required is 12th Pass.
2.Level 4 & 5 minimum qualification required is Graduation.
Age Limit
18 to 25 Years as on 1st January 2019. The sports persons should have been born between 2nd January 2004 and 1st January 2001.
Application Fee
The processing fee of ₹ 500/- is payable either in the form of Demand Draft (DD) / Indian Portal Order (IPO), drawn in favour of “Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, Southern Railway, Chennai” payable at Chennai. There is no fee for Women, SC / ST, Ex-Servicemen, PWD, Economically BC and Minority candidates.
The payment of fees for applying the posts in Southern Railway paid in between 15.12.2018 to 14.01.2019 will be valid.
General/OBC- 500 INR
SC/ST/Ex-Serviceman/Women/PWD Candidates-250 INR
Salary Details
Selected candidates will get ₹ 19,900 – ₹ 29,200/- by the Recruiting Organization.
The pay scale is as per the Level in 7th pay commission pay matrix
For Level-2 the initial would be ₹ 19900/Month
For Level-3 the initial would be ₹ 21700/Month
For Level-4 the initial would be ₹ 25500/Month
For Level-5 the initial would be ₹ 29200/Month
Selection Process
Selection of Candidates for Sports Quota posts will be done as per following stages- Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Medical Exam.
Minimum sports Norms for Recruitment
Level 2 & 3
Represented the country in any of the Category-B championships/Event (or) At Least 3rd position in any of the Category-C championships/Events (or)At Least 3rd position in any of the Senior/Junior/Youth Championship.
Level 4 & 5
Represented the country in Olympic Games Category-A (or) At least 3rd position in any of the Category-B Championships/Events.
The selection will be based on Medical Examination.
